Dale Osborne was born and raised in Burnsville, North Carolina, the heart of bluegrass country. Dale took up music, which was a family tradition, at a very early age. His grandmother taught him how to play the banjo and guitar. The first banjo he played was one that his great-grandfather had made in 1917. His first guitar was an old "Tuxido" that belonged to Granny. What began as family entertainment before they had TV, has turned into a life long love.
Dale is currently playing banjo with The Red Top Ramblers.
"There is not much I enjoy more than playing good music for, or with, other folks. To see the joy in their eyes, to watch a foot start tapping or see a smile stretch across a face when the music starts, is one of the pure pleasures of my life."
